Alive and well and living in Chesham...

'If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all....'

Well, I was supposed to play an 'industry' show in November at The Notting Hill Arts club but typically, I had a serious bout of man-flu and had to cancel the show. Then, to add insult to injury, I had to move out of my flat at short notice and now I'm living in a friend darren's spare room in Chesham. For those of you who don't know, Chesham is at the end (the very end) of the Met line. It's not even in London. There are only two trains an hour. However, the station has an 'award winning garden'...

Anyway, cry me a river I hear you say! At least Darren doesn't live in Dagenham..
Musically, I did play a little secret gig with a drummer (Wilkie Wilkinson of Mr Hudson fame) and a synth player (Louise Golbey of Louise Golbey fame) a few weeks ago. We did three songs and although it was under-rehearsed (or is that un-rehearsed?) the idea is a winner and so the next gig I play will be with a full band which will be cool.
Despite not playing many (any) gigs, I've been busy with collabz (as the kids say). I've been working with a Grime fella called Wretch 32 and with a rapper called L Beze who sounds like mix between Lady Sovereign and Lilly Allen. Check my MySpace page to see what I've done so far. There are more songs to come with both of them. I'm busy working on new Rescue Cat songs with Wilkie Wilkinson over Christmas and New Year so I'll update you when they appear.
Also, rather to my surprise, I might have found myself a manager and a lawyer, although I keep telling them 20% of nothing is nothing. Hopefully, they can help me get my head out of my arse....

Hope you have a great holiday, and remember, not everyone likes Christmas...

HO HO HO!!!!
